Overview

Grand valley's Executive M.B.A. (EMBA) program offers an intentional learning opportunity in the context of everyday business situations for experienced professionals. The program is designed for organizational leaders who have set their sights on an executive leadership role.

EMBA offers a rich learning experience that includes individual and team-based learning, business-relevant classroom instruction, exceptional networking opportunities with cohort members, and applied learning through project-based opportunities. EMBA students meet every other week on Friday and Saturday at the GVSU Pew Campus in downtown Grand Rapids over four semesters. The program’s cohort structure ensures that all classes are taken with the same group of students, fostering strong peer learning and professional connections. Highlights of the Executive M.B.A. include individualized feedback based on a personalized leadership style assessment, corporate input to ensure relevance, individual coaching, an international trip, and a two-semester capstone project with a local company.

Studying the Executive M.B.A. at Grand Valley’s Seidman College of Business offers the chance to collaborate with local businesses on career development and community projects. The innovative curriculum combines proven business and leadership frameworks with practical applications. Professional development is integral to the overall goals of the Executive MBA program and is required of all students. Over 100 hours of professional development are integrated into the curriculum over four semesters.
